Director's Welcome
International Programs, in the Faculty of Education, at Simon Fraser
University has been a unique feature of the University for more than
twenty-five years. The Faculty of Education has extended support for
international students, faculty and researchers and has developed a
wide variety of program activities to promote the internationalization
of our own undergraduate and graduate students, and faculty.
International
programs have been offered in four program areas of the Faculty of
Education. Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Japan, China, India, Mexico,
Trinidad, Jamaica, Vietnam, Greenland, and many countries in Europe are
just some examples of the partners with which we have developed
international linkages and programs. Many of our Faculty have
expertise in international teaching, research, and project coordination.
It
is our Faculty’s commitment to create exciting academic and
intercultural experiences through an array of credit extension and
non-credit, short term program opportunities for both International and
Canadian students. The instruction is very personalized and the
intercultural uniqueness of each student’s international experiences is
honoured and supported. We welcome new partnerships and programs to
promote the internationalization of education in our growing global
community.
